Bulk Business Listings - The UBL Agency Process
Working with UBL as a Partner is simple, even if you have hundreds or thousands of listings to send to us.
We provide a simple spreadsheet template into which you enter or copy your clients' data. We can also provide you with a Web-based data capture form or API for you or your clients to enter the data for gathering on your own internal systems - almost like a White Label version of UBL itself.
We respect that many of our partners want to control the relationship with the customer, and UBL is happy to be a service offering in the background. The Partner gets to control the data and the financial relationship with their customers - UBL has no pricing rules other than its own fees to Partners and individual users.
Once you have gathered the data, you can send it to UBL by email as an attachment, by FTP upload or by bulk upload from within the main UBL system. We will have announcements shortly about additional online Web Services methods of delivery of data to us in real time.
UBL delivers reports back from its data aggregators on any issues so they may be corrected. They also advise if the listing was already in the database or if it was enhanced with expanded or updated data. These reports are delivered monthly.
UBL will provide you with a schedule of important deadlines and approximate publishing dates.
As a bulk delivery Partner you will have many business listings to create, so add them all at once by submitting the information from a spreadsheet. This is called a "feed."
Here's how to submit a feed:
Download this template and open it in your favorite spreadsheet application. Please note that there are important instructions about formats and codes on page 2 of the template. We can provide you with a list of Categories, but UBL is working with the Government standard NAICS codes.

Create your business feed like the one shown below and send it to us.
Note that photos and logos are delivered to us in the form of Web links. These images may be downloaded by receiving sites during the process.
